 The ERGO Baby Carrier is a soft structured baby carrier designed to safely and securely carry a baby from the newborn stage (with infant insert accessory) until 40 lbs. It is one of the most comfortable, universally sized carriers on the market, and a favorite of moms, dads, and babies. Ergonomic Design The ERGObaby is designed to be ergonomic for both mom and baby. It puts the baby's growing weight on mom's natural center of gravity and distributes the load evenly with a firm hip support maternity belt. For the baby, the carrier is also ideal, supporting the newborn by their bottom, not dangling by their crotch area. ERGObaby promotes carrying baby in a position that allows natural spinal positioning. Sizing Made of durable cotton fabric, the Ergo Baby Carrier feels secure when worn and can easily support a child at maximum weight recommendation for frequent and long carries with ease. Fits 5'-6.5' tall body size. Waist belt circumference from 25"-43". Waist extension accessory can be used to extend waist belt if needed. Wearing a Newborn Infant insert accessory is necessary from newborn to 3 mo., or until the baby develops sufficient neck strength to hold their head up. The heart to heart infant insert is particularly snuggly and helps babies stay tucked as well as be fully supported.(pictured above) Care Machine washable on gentle cycle, line dry as needed. Teething pads accessory can save a lot of wear and tear on the carrier straps where the child tends to bite and suck, as well as make it easier to clean. The Differences Between Various Models: Original Ergo carrier comes in cotton canvas fabric with cotton batting. Organic carriers come in a cotton twill fabric and are softer than regular cotton canvas carriers. This model tends to conform better to moms with smaller frames. Ergo Sport, with polyester exterior fabric, and 400 threads per inch cotton poplin lining, is very conforming and preferred by moms with smaller frames. The fabric is also softer on the neck for extended wear in the hip carry position. *Note: Ergo Sport has a 5" longer waist belt and 4" longer shoulder strap. Minimum waist length is 30". This model does not have a zipper pocket on the outside face of the carrier. Ergo Performance made ultralite, weighing one-third less than the original Ergo carrier. Fabric is synthetic for moisture wicking and durability. Lined with breathable mesh against the baby to be cooler. Shoulder straps are narrower, slimmer and closer fitting for less bulk.
